Timber Strong Design Build is a project that provides unique insight and hands-on experience for the next generation of structural engineers involved in a sustainable design and construction. The Timber project enables students to gain experience in performing crucial aspects of real world structural engineering practices such as design, analysis, planning, construction, and 3D modeling. Students design and build a two-story wood playhouse that will withstand gravity and seismic loads during the Pacific Southwest Symposium.
